TRAVEL RESOURCES

AIR TRAVEL

Spokane International Airport (IATA code GEG) is the closest airport to downtown Spokane and is served by the following airlines: Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, Southwest, Sun Country, and United.

Southwest Airlines is pleased to offer 2025 Annual Western Protective Relay Conference attendees discounted fares. To utilize the discount, book via SWABIZ® using this link. This discount is valid for travel 10/23/2025 to 11/2/2025.

For those who plan to drive to the conference, printable step-by-step directions with maps for getting to the Spokane Convention Center from either I-90 or from areas north of the river may be found by clicking here.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

The Spokane airport is located just 7 miles from the conference hotel. The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle, so it is recommended to transfer via rideshare services, such as Uber or Lyft. Visit this helpful website for suggestions on getting around the city once you arrive.

GETTING TO THE CONFERENCE VENUE

Moving between the conference hotel and the Convention Center is incredibly easy. A hallway connects the 3rd floor of the DoubleTree hotel to the upper level of the Center. When you exit the hotel’s elevator, look for the blue sign pointing the way to the Center, then turn right when you reach the connector and follow the hallway straight into the Riverside Lobby. The video on the hotel page provides a helpful visual of this path.

If you are lodging elsewhere, note that there are two open points of access into the Center – (1) the DoubleTree Connector and (2) the Point Lobby. While a third entrance technically exists (Centennial lobby entrance), those doors will be locked for security reasons. Please refer to this map for a visual reference of these entrances. While there is a sky bridge connecting the Davenport Grand Hotel to the Center, we cannot guarantee that it will be possible to access the Center each day via this route, as the additional security and staffing needed to keep the passageway open cannot be provided by WPRC. Accordingly, we recommend that attendees access the Center through the doors noted above.

PARKING

There are 400 parking spaces on the two levels of parking underneath the Exhibit Hall of the Spokane Convention Center. One Tesla Charger (lower level) and one Clipper Creek Charger (upper level) are available. The parking lot entrance has an 8.6ft clearance and there is elevator access from the garage to the exhibit halls. Self-parking is the only option – valet services are not available. There is a charge for parking at the facility and rates are subject to change. Discounted parking is available to attendees who are guests of the DoubleTree by Hilton Spokane City Center. See the conference hotel webpage for detailed information.
