RENOVATION UPDATE

Starting in September of 2025, the hotel began a renovation project of its guest rooms, meeting space, lobby, and restaurant. The renovation is scheduled for completion by July 2026. Attendees who have stayed at the hotel previously will be happily surprised by the transformation. Starbucks fans will be thrilled to learn that an official outlet will be added to the lobby by the time of the conference.

GUEST ROOM RATE

Conference Rate

The discounted conference room rate for single or double occupancy in a Standard room is $184/night plus tax. An extra charge of $10 per night will apply for triple or quadruple occupancy.

The discounted conference room rate for single or double occupancy in a Riverview room is $194/night plus tax. An extra charge of $10 per night will apply for triple or quadruple occupancy.

The discounted conference room rate for single or double occupancy in a Premium king room is $205/night plus tax. An extra charge of $10 per night will apply for triple or quadruple occupancy.

Government Rate

Those who qualify and can provide their government ID upon check-in are eligible to obtain the prevailing government per diem rate at the time of check-in. As the fiscal year begins on October 1, the 2027 per diem rate applies for this conference. The 2027 rate has not yet been announced; however, for planning purposes, the 2026 rate is $126/night plus tax for single or double occupancy in a standard room. Please note: The discounted room rate applies only for the nights of October 25–29. If you wish to arrive early or stay later, it may be possible to receive the discounted rate; however, this is at the hotel's discretion and is based on availability.

If you are sharing a room with another person, be sure that your name is added to the reservation. Be aware that if your name does not appear on the room reservation, you are not officially considered a guest of the hotel.
 

EARLY DEPARTURE FEE

If a guest who has made a room reservation checks out prior to the reserved checkout date, the hotel will add an early checkout fee to that guest's individual account (currently $50.00). To avoid this fee, guests must advise the hotel at or before check-in of any changes to their planned length of stay.
 

RESERVATION DEADLINE

The deadline for reserving rooms at the conference rate passed on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Rooms within the reserved conference block will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. It is common for the room block to sell out before the deadline, and we cannot guarantee rooms at the conference rate once the block has been filled; thus, participants are encouraged to reserve well in advance of the final cutoff.

HOW TO RESERVE

A credit card is required at the time of reservation to hold a room, but it will not be charged until checkout. You may make your reservation at the conference rate by clicking here. Those who qualify for the government per diem rate may reserve by clicking here. Booking the conference hotel through these links is the only way to guarantee you will receive the published rate and that the Western Protective Relay Conference will get credit for your booking. Reservations made through third-party websites (e.g., Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.) are not considered part of the group block and do not help offset the group’s room commitment.

BE AWARE OF SCAMS!

Neither the hotel nor conference organizers have authorized any third-party agents to represent them in booking rooms for attendees. Booking a room using the above link is the only reservation method guaranteed by the hotel to result in an actual reservation. Please be aware that phone and email scams exist which target conference attendees, and scammers may even attempt to impersonate a representative of the Western Protective Relay Conference, Washington State University, or the hotel. Please report such fraudulent activity to wprc@wsu.edu.
 

GETTING TO THE HOTEL

  • The hotel is located just 8 miles from Spokane International Airport (GEG).
  • The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle.
  • The easiest and fastest way to transfer from the airport to the hotel is via taxi or rideshare services, such as Uber or Lyft.

PARKING

  • Overnight parking with in-and-out privileges is available to hotel guests at a discounted rate of 50% off the prevailing rate (currently $28/night). To obtain this rate, one must book their guest room through the group reservation portal (see link above) and share their vehicle information at check-in.
  • Self-parking is the only option – valet services are not available at this property.
  • Be prepared to share your license plate number during check-in, as this number will be entered into the system to make the vehicle recognizable to parking staff.
  • The covered garage has (1) Tesla Charger (lower level of parking garage) and (1) Clipper Creek Charger (upper level).
